Ensembles for Everyone

Ensembles for Everyone (E4E) is a fun filled interactive concert for children of all ages. Presented by the Loudoun Symphony Youth Orchestra (LSYO), the program for 2016-2017 featured the very popular Rossini Overture to the Barber of Seville . Then we journeyed down a mighty river with Smetana's Exhilarating Moldau  (the River). Everyone sang along with the orchestra as we played two fun songs about rain. We ended the program with an orchestral performance of the classic Disney song It's a Small World.

It was a perfect opportunity to expose young children who cannot sit quietly during a full symphony concert to the wonder of classical music! Everyone was encouraged to participate by dancing and using percussion instrument loaned by LSYO!

Afterward, we had refreshments and various post-concert activities. Music and Arts brought an "instrument petting zoo" so attendees could touch and try various instruments. A Place to Be hosted a drum circle, and kids enjoyed musical craft items created by Cool Spring Elementary fifth graders participating in the "One to the World" project.
