Ensembles For Everyone
Loudoun Symphony Youth Orchestra  The Loudoun Symphony Youth Orchestra (LSYO) provides performing opportunities for students age 10-18 who have at least three years of experience with a private teacher or in school music programs.
Participation is by audition. Auditions are held in the summer before the school year begins and then as needed to fill open positions. All members are re-auditioned annually. For the 2012-2013 season, approximately 100 students auditioned of which 65 were accepted.
Rehearsals generally take place at Stone Bridge High School in Ashburn from 7-9pm. Rehearsals include professionally directed sectionals, a master class, and a concerto competition.
The LSYO typically performs 3 concerts in a season. Scheduled concert dates will be announced once the season begins in September.
Tuition is $175 per semester, or $350 when paying for a full year. Payment may be split into two $175 payments due in September and January. Some scholarships are available on a needs basis.
LSYO accompany the soprano opera singer, Mijung Joh in the piece O Mio Babbino Caro during their 2013 spring concert.
